Ancient Roman Thermal Massage® is a treatment born of intuition and curiosity, the rediscovery of an ancient tradition. It is based, precisely, on the ancient techniques that Roman slaves used toward their „masters“ or toward those who came to the Baths.
In ancient Rome, massage was a necessity, as was bathing, studying and sports. It was well understood and used by the Roman civilization as a beauty and health practice.
It was mainly used for cleansing, depilation, perfecting the skin, decontracting the muscles, and relaxing the mind and body.
In Ancient Roman Thermal Massage® we find different maneuvers including grazing, rubbing, beating, pumping that serve different purposes. Each maneuver has its own purpose which can be to spread a product, perform a body scrub, remove dead cells from the skin through an exfoliating treatment, work on the presence of cellulite and excess fat, as well as drain fluids and waste.
In addition to the hands, special wooden tools are used: strigils (in Roman times this tool was made of iron) that are used to remove dead cells from the skin in depth. In this way, the skin will appear more toned and radiant, present blemishes will diminish, and the removal of dead cells will cause the immune system to strengthen.
